NIME 2026: Sounds Like Rain

Message to participants

Thank you for signing up for the Sounds Like Rain workshop at NIME 2026!

Please bring wired headphones to the workshop, as we will be working with circuits that make noise. While there will be opportunities for collective noise-making, there will also be times when we won’t all want to hear the sounds each others’ circuits are making at the same time. If you don’t have a pair of wired headphones, please email jessica.stanley@ntu.ac.uk as we may be able to bring a few spare pairs.

During the workshop we will be making moisture sensors out of copper tape. By the end of May this page will include instructions on how to design your own sensor, in case you want to do this in advance and send it to us, so we can make it for you and you can test it during the workshop. However, this is not mandatory for participating in the workshop.
